21. Proteomic strategies for blood biomarker development in rare dystrophinopathies
Sammanfattning : Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) and Becker muscular dystrophy (BMD) are two rare genetic disorders of the family dystrophinopathy. They are both caused by the lack of, or reduced production of, the protein dystrophin. LÄS MER
22. Chemical labelling methods for gel free based proteomics
Sammanfattning : In this thesis different aspects of gel free procedures for mass spectrometry based proteome analysis are addressed, with emphasis on labelling techniques. It is based on three original articles where the effects imposed onto peptides upon modification are investigated, and the development of a new type of labelling strategy is described. LÄS MER
23. Microwave heating effects on degradation and migration of additives from polypropylene packaging
Sammanfattning : The effect of different food types, polymer qualities and microwaves on the overall and specific migration during microwave heating of plastic packaging was investigated to better understand the packaging-food interactions and the effect of microwaves on food packaging. This work focuses on the migration of chemical compounds to food simulants from commercially available polypropylene packages. LÄS MER
24. Black mustard and the butterfly effect : metabolomics of plant-insect interactions under multiple stress conditions
Sammanfattning : One main goal of ecological research is to understand nature´s complexity, in order to predict the potential impact of environmental perturbations. In this thesis, I investigate the ecological interactions between some of the most ancient organisms living on our planet: plants and insects. LÄS MER
25. Levulinic Acid : Versatile Building Block for Plasticizer Design
Sammanfattning : The utilization of renewable resources is a challenging and an importantaspect towards development of sustainable plastic products. Therefore, commercial biomass conversion to produce biobased chemicals isnecessary to replace current fossil-based chemicals. LÄS MER
