    Sammanfattning : This thesis explores a period in Northern Sweden when contacts between Sami and non-Sami became more frequent as the colonisation progressed. The investigated period is 1722-1895 and eight parishes in northern Sweden are under study. Both the northern as well as the southern Sami area are represented. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The thesis examines the social networks of the nobility during the Middle Ages. The networks explain why two noble families, one in Kind and the other in Mark, managed to hold the office of häradshövding (district judge) through several generations and clients, despite the absence of hereditary offices in medieval Sweden.     Sammanfattning : We introduce a Two-Sex Galton-Watson Branching Process, to study the dynamics of two-sex populations. It allows individuals to interact with each other in order to form couples (or mating units), and each of these couples produces children for the new generation. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : What did people think about the relationship between a man and a woman in Early Modern Sweden? Did they consider love and the parties' free choice to be of any importantance in the making of a marriage? What happened when marriages were falling apart, how common were divorces? I also discuss why sexuality was restricted, and how it affected women and men. What effects did changes in the legislation have?
