6. Afloat and Aflame. Deconstructing the Long 19th century Port City Gothenburg through Newspaper Archaeology
Sammanfattning : In line with the international historical-archaeological discipline, this study aims to increase knowledge of marginalising processes and disenfranchised groups in the past and to contribute to the recognised Swedish need to augment the know-how of researching people ‘of little note’ in urban environments. The study aspires a theoretically engaged empirical alternative for developing new knowledge about urban places which are not possible to excavate or where archaeological data is insufficient, while evincing how digitized historical newspapers can step in as a multifaceted historical- archaeological source. Sammanfattning : This thesis analyzes works by the contemporary German author Katja Lange-Müller, focusing on their representations of borders and in-between spaces. Thus, the thesis offers a new perspective on Lange-Müller’s work, which, in the few previous studies, has mainly been interpreted within the context of ‘subversive writing’ in the German Democratic Republic in the 1980s. 9. Other Voices : A Study of Christian Feminist Approaches to Religious Plurality East and West
Sammanfattning : This dissertation explores the contribution of feminist theology and feminist dialogue praxis to interfaith dialogue and theology of religions. Feminist dialogue praxis is studied through interviews and documentation from women’s interfaith projects; and feminist approaches to religious plurality through the works of a number of Christian feminist theologians, with special attention to Asian theologians, who in their theologizing consciously make use of their multireligious context. Sammanfattning : This study deals with the popular theatre performance of Hira Gasy, and its actors andaudiences in the central highland regions of Imerina and northern Betsileo in Madagascar.
