6. Nondestructive testing and antenna measurements using UWB radar in industrial applications
Sammanfattning : Many industries are rapidly substituting the manual test operations and move towards automated operations using modern technologies.Modern technologies such as digital cameras, sonic sensors, infrared sensors, and radar and lidar systems are used for non-destructive testingoperations. 7. Structured Laser Illumination Planar Imaging SLIPI Applications for Spray Diagnostics
Sammanfattning : Laser sheet imaging, also known as planar laser imaging, is one of the most versatile optical imaging techniques known and is frequently applied in several different domains. It furthermore constitutes the basis for a variety of other 2D methods, in turn allowing visualization of e.g. velocity, particle size, species concentration and temperature. LÄS MER
8. Measuring and modelling light scattering in paper
9. Clinical and experimental studies on wear and osteolysis in total joint replacement
Sammanfattning : Total hip arthroplasty is a very successful procedure. Despite this fact, however, a certain portion of patients has to be revised. One major reason for revision is the wear of the polyethylene leading to loosening and osteolysis. LÄS MER
10. Traffic-related pollutants in urban snow : Concentrations, size fractionation, and release with snowmelt
Sammanfattning : In urban areas with seasonal snow, traffic-related pollutants such as solid particles, metals, chloride, organic pollutants, and microplastics (MPs) can be temporarily stored in snowbanks along roads and streets. When the snow melts, it releases the accumulated pollutants and the resulting snowmelt with diverse pollutants may partly infiltrate into the ground, or enter storm sewers and eventually be discharged into, and impact on, the receiving waters.
