    Sammanfattning : The present thesis comprises three studies carried out within REGASSA, a multicenter randomized controlled trial in primary care. In the REGASSA study a 12 week treatment of mild to moderate depression and stress-related mental Health problems using Internet-based cognitive behavioural therapy (ICBT) and physical exercise (PE) was compared with treatment as usual (TAU).     Sammanfattning : The central issue is to increase knowledge of women's and men's mental wellbeing when their child is about to be born, as seen from four aspects relevant to maternity and child health care centres. Major psychological theories are the attachment theory and the affect theory, health psychology with theories on nervous tension, vulnerability, coping and individual resources, clinical psychology to understand mental divergencies, crisis theory to understand reactions, taking the individual's subjective experience and personal definitions of reactions and needs into consideration.     Sammanfattning : Migrants often experience worse mental health after migration than natives in Sweden. Using survey, register and peer-reviewed published data, the five studies of this thesis explored the mental health variation of different migrant groups settled in Sweden, including by the timing of migration, level of integration and region of origin.
