6. Wide-scope screening for contaminants of emerging concern in archived biota: Method development, suspect prioritisation, and non-target screening in a novel identification tool
Sammanfattning : Environmental monitoring of hazardous chemicals in wildlife conventionally uses target screening for selected contaminants, but relatively few contaminants are moni-tored and knowledge of potentially hazardous contaminants of emerging concern (CECs) in wildlife is lacking. In this thesis, a non-target screening (NTS) method com-bined with temporal trend analysis was developed and applied as a prioritisation tool for identification of CECs in top predators, using high-resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS). 7. The return of the wolf : effects on prey, competitors and scavengers
Sammanfattning : Apex predators may have both direct and indirect effects on other species through predation and competition. I investigated the effects of wolves (Canis lupus) on prey species, competitors (including humans) and the scavenging guild after the re-colonization by wolves of the Scandinavian Peninsula. LÄS MER
8. Temporal and spatial variation in predation on roe deer fawns
Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with variation in mortality of roe deer fawns, over time and in space, caused by red fox and Eurasian lynx predation in a boreal landscape. The thesis considers historic and recent effects of vole population dynamics on red fox predation on roe deer fawns, using long term time series from Grimsö Wildlife Research Area. LÄS MER
9. Economic Studies on Wildlife Management and Conservation
Sammanfattning : The present research consists of four articles addressing wildlife management and conservation using different methodological approaches of applied economics. The thesis encompasses various economic analyses on three carnivore species mainly: the wolf (Canis lupus), the brown bear (Ursus arctos), and the lynx (Lynx lynx). LÄS MER
10. The Apocalypse of Entrepreneurship
Sammanfattning : This monograph represents an attempt to rethink some of the fundamentals of entrepreneurship research, arguing that an entrepreneurial method for going about research ought to be about trying hitherto unthought-of perspectives. Apocalypsing, the method proposed and deployed in order to carry out this rethinking, deals simply with venturing beyond the already perceived. LÄS MER
