1. Experimenting for change? : The politics of accomplishing environmental governance through smart energy pilot projects
Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates how smart energy experimentation arranges environmental governance in Sweden, focusing on the politics of such processes, against the background of an escalating environmental and climate crisis that necessitates urgent energy transformation. Empirically the thesis includes case studies of pilot projects in Stockholm, Malmö, Västerås, and on Gotland, and analysis of the policy landscape, mainly through text analysis and interviews. 2. IT i lokalsamhället : konsumentmakt eller operatörsdominans
3. Integrated Community Energy Systems
Sammanfattning : Energy systems across the globe are going through a radical transformation as a result of technological and institutional changes, depletion of fossil fuel resources, and climate change. Accordingly, local energy initiatives are emerging and increasing number of the business models are focusing on the end-users. LÄS MER
4. Reliability Evaluation of Distribution Systems Considering Failure Modes and Network Configuration
Sammanfattning : Power distribution networks are recognized as the constituent part of power systems with the highest concentration of failure events. Even though the faults in distribution networks have a local effect when compared to the generation and transmission sides, major contingency escalation events are being more frequently reported from this section. 5. Fast and accurate integral equation methods with applications in microfluidics
Sammanfattning : This thesis is concerned with computational methods for fluid flows on the microscale, also known as microfluidics. This is motivated by current research in biological physics and miniaturization technology, where there is a need to understand complex flows involving microscale structures. Numerical simulations are an important tool for doing this. LÄS MER
