1. Frequency Recognition Algorithm for Multiple Exposures : Snapshot imaging using coded light
Sammanfattning : The central challenge tackled in this thesis is the development of an optical imaging approach capable of multidimensional image capture of dynamic samples. Many conventional optical imaging approaches, which can obtain dimensional information such as spectral, polarisation, or volumetric, to name a few, about samples either employ sequential image capture or parallelised detector arrangements. 2. Silicon Nanowire Based Sensors for Bacterial Tests
Sammanfattning : Rapid and reliable antibiotic susceptibility testing (AST) is urgently required to diagnose bacterial infectious diseases and avoid antibiotic misuse, providing valuable information on the efficacy of antibiotic agents and their dosages for treatment. However, the currently employed phenotypic ASTs normally demand the growth of bacteria into colonies, which usually takes more than two days. LÄS MER
3. Non-destructive detection of glue deficiency in laminated wood using thermography
Sammanfattning : The purpose of the work described in this doctorate thesis has been to study the potential of the non-contact and non-destructive test (NDT) method, thermography, to detect glue deficiency beneath a thin laminated layer of wood. The technological applications can for example be found in the parquet flooring industry. LÄS MER
4. Detection of glue deficiency beneath a thin layer of laminated wood using thermography
5. Sensitivity-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy and High-Speed Fluorescence for In Situ Gas-Phase Diagnostics
Sammanfattning : In this work, combustion and thermal decomposition processes were studied employing laser-based diagnostic techniques, and the techniques were improved and demonstrated to achieve enhanced detection sensitivity. Raman spectroscopy was employed to study flames under elevated and atmospheric pressures with various fuels, such as methane, hydrogen-enriched methane, DME, ethylene, and ammonia. LÄS MER
