1. Designing Electricity Distribution Network Charges for an Efficient Integration of Distributed Energy Resources and Customer Response
Sammanfattning : A significant transformation has been gradually taking place within the energy sector, mainly as a result of energy policies targeting environmental objectives. Consequently, the penetration of Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) has been escalating, including self-generation, demand side management, storage, and electrical vehicles. LÄS MER
2. Spatial forest resource competition: an economic study : How increased competition and production flexibility affect woody feedstock markets
Sammanfattning : This thesis explores the Swedish forestry and forest industry sectors, together with their adjoining markets, and examines how these sectors are currently positioned to meet future developments and demands. For this purpose, four specific research questions are formulated, focusing on: (1) the structural composition of forest industry sector and how it will be affected by an increasing feedstock competition; (2) the production flexibility of the forest industry; (3) the resource allocation and price effects from increased feedstock competition; and (4) the potential implications from improved harvesting efficiency. Sammanfattning : Computational methods gained a widespread use in drug discovery. Understanding conformational dynamics of protein and mechanisms of protein-ligand binding are two major areas in drug discovery. Molecular dynamics (MD) simulation have been routinely used to study conformational dynamics of protein and mechanisms of protein-ligand binding. LÄS MER
4. Management of the industrialisation process in distributed geographical and organisational contexts
Sammanfattning : Management of new product development (NPD) is one of the most critical capabilities of original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). The industrialisation process plays a major role in NPD, where the final verification of the product and production system takes place. LÄS MER
Sammanfattning : This dissertation analyses the implications of international investment law on host states’ legal ability to protect the environment, regulate sustainable use of natural resources, and develop new approaches to manage environmental risks and uncertainties. ‘Environmental policy space’ is found to be a useful term when exploring the regulatory autonomy in this context.
