  1. 1. Geometric Control of Thrust Propelled Systems

    Författare :Pedro Miguel Ótão Pereira; Dimos V. Dimarogonas; Jana Tumova; Panagiotis Tsiotras; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; nonlinear control; geometric control; thrust propelled systems; slung load transportation; aerial tethered transportation; control of aerial vehicles; tracking and stabilization; global stabilization; bounded control; disturbance removal; distributed control; attitude synchronization; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis was motivated and inspired by the AEROWORKS project, a European research project, whose main goal was to deploy multiple heterogeneous unmanned aerial vehicles in environments where human intervention is restricted.In particular, this thesis focuses on control of aerial vehicles for the purposes of cargo transportation, an application of interest, for example, in inspection and maintenance of aging infrastructures. 2. 2. Look-ahead Control of Heavy Vehicles

    Författare :Erik Hellström; Lars Nielsen; Jan Åslund; Lino Guzzella; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; automotive control; dynamic programming; predictive control; fuel-optimal control; long haulage truck; TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP; Information technology; Informationsteknik; Automatic control; Reglerteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Trucks are responsible for the major part of inland freight and so, they are a backbone of the modern economy but they are also a large consumer of energy. In this context, a dominating vehicle is a truck with heavy load on a long trip. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Supervisory control of complex propulsion subsystems

    Författare :Dhinesh Vilwanathan Velmurugan; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Look-ahead control; engine control; exhaust after-treatment; supervisory control;

    Sammanfattning : Modern gasoline and diesel combustion engines are equipped with several subsystems with the goal to reduce fuel consumption and pollutant exhaust emissions. Subsystem synergies could be harnessed using the supervisory control approach. Look-ahead information can be used to potentially optimise power-train control for real time implementation. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The main objective of wave energy converters (WECs) is to ensure reliable electricity production at a competitive cost. Two challenges to achieving this are ensuring an efficient energy conversion and offshore survivability. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Learning to Control the Cloud

    Författare :Albin Heimerson; Institutionen för reglerteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Cloud Computing; Reinforcement Learning; Learning-Based Control; Microservices; Datacenter; Autoscaling; Load Balancing; Neural Networks;

    Sammanfattning : With the growth of the cloud industry in recent years, the energy consumption of the underlying infrastructure is a major concern.The need for energy efficient resource management and control in the cloud becomes increasingly important as one part of the solution, where the other is to reduce the energy consumption of the hardware itself.
