11. Modeling and post-correction of pipeline analog-digital converters
Sammanfattning : Integral nonlinearity (INL) for pipelined analog-digital converters (ADCs) operating at radio frequency is measured and characterized. A parametric model for the INL of pipelined ADCs is proposed and the corresponding least-squares problem is formulated and solved. LÄS MER
12. Studies of reursive projection methods for convergence acceleration of steady state Calculations
Sammanfattning : this paper we have defined two classes of projectionmethods. RPM(m) and NPGS(m), where RPM(1) is the classicalscheme due to Shroff \&Keller. Following the ideas in Lustet al., we obtain NPGS(m). LÄS MER
13. Pipeline Analog-Digital Converters Dynamic Error Modeling for Calibration : Integral Nonlinearity Modeling, Pipeline ADC Calibration, Wireless Channel K-Factor Estimation
Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with the characterization, modeling and calibration of pipeline analog-digital converters (ADC)s. The integral nonlinearity (INL) is characterized, modeled and the model is used to design a post-correction block in order to compensate the imperfections of the ADC. LÄS MER
14. Utilizing Channel State Information in Space-Time Coding : Performance Limits and Transmission Techniques
Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with performance limits and transmissiontechniques for a wireless communication link where at least thetransmitter is equipped with an antenna array and moreover hasaccess to possibly imperfect channel state information. An antenna array on the transmit side provides the systemwith an extra spatial dimension that can be utilized for codingboth in the spatial as well as the temporal domain. 15. Implementation of the spectral element method and iterative solution techniques for 3D controlled-source electromagnetic modelling
Sammanfattning : Controlled-source electromagnetic methods are imaging techniques applied at/on the surface of the Earth which record the electromagnetic field in order to assess the electrical conductivity distribution of the Earth’s subsurface, along with anomalies in this material property, as well as to characterise and interpret structures in Earth’s crust. Extracting information from the recorded electromagnetic data requires inverse modelling algorithms. LÄS MER
