16. Flexible cables for massive-parallel high-speed data communications
Sammanfattning : The demand for high-speed data communications has pushed both the wired and wireless technologies to operate at higher and higher frequencies. Classic Kirchhoffs voltage and current laws cannot be directly applied, when entering the microwave spectrum for frequency > 1 GHz. Instead, the transmission line theory should be used. LÄS MER
17. Cooperative communication for multi-user cognitive radio networks
Sammanfattning : In recent years, the main trend in wireless communications has been shifted from voice transmission to data-centric communication. This shift has caused an increase in the data rate requirements for future wireless communication systems. These requirements result in need for large bandwidth. LÄS MER
18. Development of Transgenic Potatoes to Attain Novel Starch Qualities
Sammanfattning : Starch is a plant-derived polysaccharide with many uses in different food and non-food applications. In this thesis, the production of two novel potato starch qualities, amylopectin and high-amylose, and the modifications and the characteristics of the produced plants and starches are described. 19. Three-dimensional mapping of fine structure in the solar atmosphere
Sammanfattning : The effects on image formation through a tilted interference filter in a converging beam are investigated and an adequate compensation procedure is established. A method that compensates for small-scale seeing distortions is also developed with the aim of co-aligning non-simultaneous solar images from different passbands. LÄS MER
20. Memory Distortions Induced by Fluency : Behavioural and Electrophysiological Investigations
Sammanfattning : The investigation of memory distortions provides insights into how memory normally works. Adopting a cognitive neuroscience perspective, the present thesis aimed at investigating memory distortions and the neural correlates of processes contributing to successful control of memory interference in healthy participants.
