21. Ultra Wideband Impulse Radio for Wireless Sensing and Identification
Sammanfattning : Ubiquitous computing and Internet-of-Things (IoT) implies an untapped opportunity in the realm of information and communication technology, in which a large number of micro-devices with communication and/or computing capabilities, provides connectivity for anything, by anyone at anytime and anywhere. Especially, these devices can be equipped with sensors and actuators that interact with our living environment. LÄS MER
22. Identification and characterization of small molecules targeting MYC function
Sammanfattning : The MYC family genes (c-, N- and L-MYC) encode potent oncoproteins/transcription factors regulating fundamental cellular processes involved in cell proliferation, metabolism and survival, and they play an important role in tumor development. Overexpression of MYC often induce apoptosis as a failsafe mechanism to prevent tumor development and it is known to sensitize cells to genotoxic agents that induce DNA damage by triggered apoptosis. 23. Sample Handling Techniques in Biological and Environmental Applications Emphasizing Biomolecular Recognition and MALDI-TOF MS
Sammanfattning : The use of restricted access media and other stationary phases for clean-up and trace enrichment of environmental samples coupled on-line to liquid chromatography using diode array detection as well as thermospray MS is described. This on-line configuration was compared with commercially available ELISAs for the determination of triazines in complex matrices, showing superior precision and accuracy with the chromatographic method. 24. Prejudice: The Interplay of Personality, Cognition, and Social Psychology
Sammanfattning : Three main theoretical approaches to the study of the causation of prejudice can be distinguished within psychological research. The cognitive approach suggests that prejudice is a function of cognitive processes where stereotypic information about social groups, stored in memory, is automatically activated and affects people’s judgements and behavior toward members of the target group. 25. Sampling and Selective Detection of Peptides and Proteins Emphazing Microdialysis,Bio-recognition Assays and MALDI-TOF MS
Sammanfattning : The use of microdialysis sampling and flow immunochemical detection as well as MALDI-TOF MS for peptide and protein analysis is described. Sampling of peptides and smaller proteins was investigated with different membranes. LÄS MER
