1. Porous degradable polyester scaffolds
Sammanfattning : Tissue engineering is a growing research field in which degradable porous scaffolds are used to regenerate tissue from the patients own cells. The problems due to donor shortage or the lack of full property restoration from prosthetic implants can thereby be overcome. LÄS MER
2. Common Law Marriage : Ett rättsinstitut för samboende
Sammanfattning : Common Law Marriage is an American legal institution that for cohabiting parties en-tails all the legal effects of marriage, today recognized in Alabama, Colorado, the District of Columbia, Iowa, Kansas, Montana, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas and Utah. The investigation also includes Ohio, Idaho and Georgia, which during the 1990's repealed the legal institution. LÄS MER
3. On the automorphism group of Danielewski surfaces
Sammanfattning : In this thesis we define the notion of an overshear on a Danielewski surface. We show that the group generated by the overshears is dense (in the compact open topology) in the automorphism group for small degrees of the defining polynomial. It is also shown in the thesis that the overshear group has a structure of an amalgamated product. LÄS MER
4. Evaluation of isovolumic myocardial motions in human subjects using tissue velocity echocardiography
Sammanfattning : Colour-coded tissue velocity imaging (TVE) with Echocardiography is an established method for evaluation of the global cardiac function and of the regional myocardial movements. The TVE-technique allows measurements of velocity and deformation variables from any discrete point in the myocardial wall during the cardiac cycle with high temporal and longitudinal spatial resolution. 5. Resource Combining across Inter-organisational Project Boundaries
Sammanfattning : This thesis focuses on the interplay between resource use and development that takes place in relation to inter-organisational research projects. Research and development efforts are characterised by resource combining in collaboration and networks among actors. One way of organising such efforts is inter-organisational projects. LÄS MER
