  1. 1. Computational Light Field Photography : Depth Estimation, Demosaicing, and Super-Resolution

    Författare :Yongwei Li; Mårten Sjöström; Roger Olsson; Paolo Favaro; Mittuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Light field; computational photography; depth estimation; demosaicing; super-resolution;

    Sammanfattning : The transition of camera technology from film-based cameras to digital cameras has been witnessed in the past twenty years, along with impressive technological advances in processing massively digitized media content. Today, a new evolution emerged -- the migration from 2D content to immersive perception. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Multi-Camera Light Field Capture : Synchronization, Calibration, Depth Uncertainty, and System Design

    Författare :Elijs Dima; Mårten Sjöström; Roger Olsson; Ulf Assarsson; Mittuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Light field; Camera systems; Multiview; Synchronization; Camera calibration;

    Sammanfattning : The digital camera is the technological counterpart to the human eye, enabling the observation and recording of events in the natural world. Since modern life increasingly depends on digital systems, cameras and especially multiple-camera systems are being widely used in applications that affect our society, ranging from multimedia production and surveillance to self-driving robot localization. 3. 3. Slow and stopped light by light-matter coherence control

    Författare :Jonas Tidström; Lars Thylén; Mauritz Andersson; Jesper Mørk; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; slow light; stored light; stopped light; light-matter coherence; electromagnetically induced transparency; rubidium atoms; Physics; Fysik; Photonics; Fotonik;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis we study light-matter coherence phenomena related to the interaction of a coherent laser field and the so-called Λ-system, a three-level quantum system (e.g., an atom). We observe electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT), slow and stored light in hot rubidium vapor. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Incident Light Fields

    Författare :Jonas Unger; Anders Ynnerman; Reiner Lenz; Alan Chalmers; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Computer Graphics; Image Based Lighting; Photorealistic Rendering; Light Fields; High Dynamic Range Imaging; TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP;

    Sammanfattning : Image based lighting, (IBL), is a computer graphics technique for creating photorealistic renderings of synthetic objects such that they can be placed into real world scenes. IBL has been widely recognized and is today used in commercial production pipelines. However, the current techniques only use illumination captured at a single point in space. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Single-photon multiple ionisation of atoms and molecules investigated by coincidence spectroscopy : Site-specific effects in acetaldehyde and carbon dioxide

    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; acetaldehyde; carbon dioxide; xenon; electron correlation; double ionisation; triple ionisation; core-valence ionisation; site-specific Auger decay; multiple Auger decay; branching ratios; site-specific photodissociation; molecular rearrangement; time-of-flight multi-electron-ion coincidence spectroscopy; synchrotron radiation; Physics with spec. in Atomic; Molecular and Condensed Matter Physics; Fysik med inriktning mot atom- molekyl- och kondenserande materiens fysik;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis, multiple ionisation processes of free atoms and molecules upon single photon absorption are studied by means of a versatile multi-electron-ion coincidence spectroscopy method based on a magnetic bottle, primarily in combination with synchrotron radiation. The latter offered the possibility to access not only valence but also core levels, revealing processes, which promote the target systems into different charge states. LÄS MER
