41. Single-molecule spectroscopy of π-conjugated polymers
Sammanfattning : When applied to condensed-matter samples of large organic molecules, optical spectroscopy faces the problem of inhomogeneous broadening caused by the diversity of environments and conformations that sample molecules are subjected to. This severely limits the information that can be extracted from optical spectra. LÄS MER
42. Exploiting Energy Awareness in Mobile Communication
Sammanfattning : Although evolving mobile technologies bring millions of users closer to the vision of information anywhere-anytime, device battery depletions hamper the quality of experience to a great extent. The massive explosion of mobile applications with the ensuing data exchange over the cellular infrastructure is not only a blessing to the mobile user, but also has a price in terms of rapid discharge of the device battery. 43. Experimental studies of dynamics in gas-phase diatomic molecules. From lifetime-measurements of BaF tofemtosecond pump-probe spectroscopy of Rb2

44. Development of fluorescence-based techniques for quantitative measurements of combustion species
Sammanfattning : The work presented in this thesis covers how laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) and photofragmentation laser-induced fluorescence (PF-LIF) can be used to determine quantitative species concentrations in different combustion environments. To attain species concentrations with LIF it is of vital importance to investigate the influence of collisional quenching on the fluorescence signal strength, which can be done by measuring the fluorescence lifetime. 45. Recovery and validation of Odin/SMR measurements of mesospheric CO and H2O
Sammanfattning : Although life on Earth is concentrated in the troposphere, not only the processes happening here are of interest, since tropospheric processes are not the only ones that have an impact on the climate. Coupling mechanisms between different layers are such that changes in middle atmospheric dynamics and composition have an effect on what happens at lower altitudes. LÄS MER
