  1. 11. Towards inclusion of Biodiversity in Life Cycle Assessment

    Författare :Emke Vrasdonk; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Impact assessment; Biodiversity; LCA; eDNA; Life Cycle Assessment; Sustainability; Reference situation; Land Use; Biodiversity conservation; Metabarcoding; Indicators;

    Sammanfattning : Biodiversity- crucial for ecosystem health and its products and services – is being lost at an alarming rate. While it is clear that human consumption is the main driving force of the considerable losses, conversion of natural habitats for production is continuing and the subsequent intensification of those systems is likely to cause even further biodiversity decay. 2. 12. Integrated Life Cycle Design - Applied to concrete multi-dwelling buildings

    Författare :Mats Öberg; Avdelningen för Byggnadsmaterial; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; livslängd; materialval; energianvändning; inomhusklimat; livscykelanalyser; livscykelkostnader; hållbar utveckling; Sustainable construction; Building construction; Service life design; Multiple Attribute Decision Analysis; Energy efficient buildings; Life Cycle Assessment; projektering; betongkonstruktioner; flerbostadshus; Byggnadsteknik; Integrated life cycle design; Life Cycle Costing;

    Sammanfattning : The objective of this work is to explore ways of enhancing the overall lifetime quality, including cost and environmental efficiency, of Swedish concrete multi-dwelling buildings. The building and its characteristics, as well as the procedures for whole life optimisation, are addressed. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Energy efficient renovation in a life cycle perspective : A case study of a Swedish multifamily-building

    Sammanfattning : Energy use in the European Union is increasing. At the same time, it is estimated that by the year 2050 most of the EU population will be living in currently existing buildings. Some of these buildings are or will be in need of renovation, and they have identified a target to reduce overall energy use. LÄS MER

  4. 14. Life Cycle Assessment of Building Products. Case Studies and Methodology

    Författare :Åsa Jönsson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; VOCs; environmental assessment; floorings; methods; LCA; concrete; indoor climate; Life Cycle Assessment; structural frames; building materials; steel; tools;

    Sammanfattning : The main objectives of this thesis were to demonstrate how Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) may be applied to building products, to describe what methodological LCA issues are specific to building products, to work out solutions to some of these issues and to relate LCA to other environmental assessment methods that may be applied to building products. First, in a literature study, the state of the art in the field of environmental assessment of building products is described, and the five articles constituting the thesis are put into context. 5. 15. Life cycle assessment of electric vehicle batteries and new technologies

    Författare :Mats Zackrisson; Magnus Wiktorsson; Martin Kurdve; Christina Jönsson; Anders Nordelöf; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; life cycle assessment; LCA; electric vehicle; sustainability; eco-design; Production Engineering; Industriell produktion;

    Sammanfattning : Electrification of vehicles has for decades been explored as a possible solution to the problem of climate change. Today, in 2021, the issue is no longer whether the electrification of vehicle fleets ought to happen but rather how it can be achieved with as little environmental impact as possible. LÄS MER
