    Sammanfattning : With the overall aim of "analysing and comparing the language that was used during the period 1945-1998 in pre-school documents with regard to the duty of promoting the development of children into responsible persons and citizens", the thesis studies seven authoritative government texts for pre-schools. The goal documents form an intertextual chain whose first link was published under the auspices of the National Swedish Bord of Health and Welfare, when the number of institutions for the care and education of the youngest children was still very limited.     Sammanfattning : The study reported in this thesis investigates the source language of lexical transfer in multilingual learners using a mixed methods approach. Previous research has shown that the source language of crosslinguistic influence can be related to factors such as proficiency, recency/exposure, psychotypology, the L2 status, and item-specific transferability.     Sammanfattning : This study compares occurrences of the Spirit of God in Pauline and Johannine texts on a lexical, grammatical, and conceptual level. The following questions are asked: What are the common traits associated with the Spirit? What is the unique profile of each corpus? Can one corpus help us better understand the other? This objective is pursued by first considering similarities and differences at the lexical and grammatical levels and then by identifying important ideas connected with the Spirit. LÄS MER
