11. Modeling of structural integrity of aged low alloy steels using non-local mechanics
Sammanfattning : Ageing of low alloy steels affects the structural integrity assessment as it most commonly causes embrittlement and a hardening of the material. This is due to theevolution of the microstructure during operation in the specific application. LÄS MER
12. Multiresolution Continuum Theory Finite Element For Implicit Time Stepping Methods
Sammanfattning : The multiresolution continuum theory is a higher order continuum theory where additional kinematic variables are added to account for the microstructural inhomogeneities at several distinct length scales. This can be particularly important for localization problems. LÄS MER
13. On the modeling of large ratcheting strains and anisotropy in pearlitic steel
Sammanfattning : Thermodynamically consistent constitutive material models for describing the large strain response of polycrystalline metals are proposed. Emphasis is put on the multiaxial ratcheting under cyclic loading and the evolution of anisotropy in pearlitic steel. LÄS MER
14. Boundary Layer Parametrization in Numerical Weather Prediction Models
Sammanfattning : Numerical weather prediction (NWP) and climate models have shown to have a challenge to correctly simulate stable boundary layers and diurnal cycles. This aim of this study is to evaluate, describe and give suggestions for improvements of the descriptions of stable boundary layers in operational NWP models. Two papers are included. LÄS MER
15. Modeling of magnetohydrodynamic turbulence
Sammanfattning : Conventional one-point turbulence closures have beenextended with an additional transported scalar for modeling ofmagnetohydrodynamic (MHD) turbulence. The new scalar, α ,captures the length scale anisotropy and tendency towardstwo-dimensionality, which is characteristic feature of MHDturbulence, and allows accurate modeling of the Jouledissipation of turbulence.
