A number of different systems have been investigated; among them multilayer structures in the form of organic optoelectronic devices, anisotropic layers of conjugated polymers as well as inhomogeneous layers of porous silicon and oxidized silver.    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis was to investigate if endocrine disruption related to the release of estrogenic and/or androgenic substances via sewage treatment plant and pulp mill effluents is significant in Swedish waters.
