  1. 11. Architectural Evolution of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) using Cloud Computing

    Författare :Robayet Nasim; Andreas Kassler; Anna Brunström; Franz J. Hauck; Karlstads universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; ITS; cloud computing; OpenStack; virtualization; asynchronous communication; publish subscribe system; scalability; distributed architecture; QoS; latency.; Computer Science; Datavetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : With the advent of Smart Cities, Intelligent Transport System (ITS) has become an efficient way of offering an accessible, safe, and sustainable transportation system. Utilizing advances in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), ITS can maximize the capacity of existing transportation system without building new infrastructure. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Network operators are deploying 5G while also considering the evolution towards 6G. They consider different enablers and address various challenges. One trend in the 5G deployment is network densification, i.e. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Anatomical and physiological aspects of anorectal dysfunction

    Författare :Geert Morren; Anders Mellgren; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Anal canal; Anal-sphincter repair; Audit; Magnetic resonance imaging; Magnetic stimulation; Latency; Pelvic floor; Sacral roots; MEDICINE; MEDICIN;

    Sammanfattning : Objective: To analyse the results of anal-sphincter repair; to examine the feasibility of motor latency measurements of the anal sphincter after magnetic sacral stimulation in healthy subjects, patients with a spinal cord injury and patients with faecal incontinence, using a new recording technique; to study, in the same 3 groups, the effects ofphasic magnetic sacral root stimulation on the anal sphincter and rectum; to describe normal, undisturbed anatomy of the anal canal and perianal structures in both men and nulliparous women using high-resolution phased array magnetic resonance imaging; to study pelvic floor movements in healthy volunteers of both sexes using a new instrument.Methods: Latencies were recorded with an intraanal, bipolar sponge electrode and an intrarectal ground electrode. 4. 14. HIV Persistence and Viral Reservoirs

    Författare :Arvid Edén; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; HIV-1; antiretroviral therapy; latency; cerebrospinal fluid; central nervous system; efavirenz; lopinavir; atazanavir; neopterin; viral decay;

    Sammanfattning : Although antiretroviral therapy (ART) can effectively inhibit replication of human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1), the virus is able to persist in cellular and anatomical viral reservoirs. Latently infected resting memory CD4+ T-cells are an important cellular reservoir, and the central nervous system (CNS) an important anatomical reservoir for HIV-1 infection. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Pathobiology of African relapsing fever Borrelia

    Författare :Christer Larsson; Sven Bergström; Sally Cutler; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; borrelia; persistence; meningitis; pregnancy; latency; immune privileged sites; Medical microbiology; Medicinsk mikrobiologi;

    Sammanfattning : Relapsing fever (RF) is a disease caused by tick- or louse-transmitted bacteria of the genus Borrelia. It occurs worldwide but is most common in Africa where it is one of the most prevalent bacterial diseases. The main manifestation is a recurring fever which coincides with massive numbers of bacteria in the blood. LÄS MER
