Sammanfattning : The aim of the present thesis is to describe, analyse and try to understand transformation of education in mathematics from a teacher perspective so that a Sámi perspective becomes the point of departure of the education. 14. Two facets of Innovation in Engineering Education : The interplay of Student Learning and Curricula Design
Sammanfattning : This thesis covers two main perspectives ofinnovation; first, innovation is regarded as an outcome-related mechanism wherelearning is expressed through artefact presentations at the end of adevelopment process; second, innovation comprises a change mechanism in theprocess of student learning, influencing educators to reconsider new methods andpractices. Sammanfattning : Brandvägg describes how a group of firefighters, who consistently maintain that they are “practitioners and not theorists”, relate to various forms of language based knowledge and language based “knowledging” in their vocational training, which is based on problem based learning. From a sociocultural perspective to learning, and within the parameters of a didactic perspective with the focus on the students as learning language users, understanding is searched for what happens in the educational setting.
