1. Passive immunization against oral pathogens
Sammanfattning : Dental caries is one of the most common infectious diseases and Streptococcus mutans (S. mutans) is considered to be the main etiological agent of dental caries. S. mutans possesses a variety of virulence factors that enables it to establish and initiate disease. LÄS MER
2. RP59 : a novel stem cell protein and mapping of its expression
Sammanfattning : The purpose of this thesis was to study the expression pattern of a novel protein daring developmental processes. Firstly we identified so far unknown mRNA sequences coding for frequently expressed proteins in primitive mesenchymal cells in bone marrow and osteoblasts. LÄS MER
3. Contrast enhanced transrectal ultrasound of the prostate : An experimental and clinical study
Sammanfattning : The purpose of this thesis was to evaluate the diagnostic potential of a new ultrasound contrast agent,SonazoidTM, intended for use in patients with suspicion of prostate cancer. The sonographic appearance of normal prostatic vascularity in dogs was evaluated before and after injection of Sonazoid, using different Doppler flow detection modes. 4. On linear graph invariants related to Ramsey and edge numbers : or how I learned to stop worrying and love the alien invasion
Sammanfattning : In this thesis we study the Ramsey numbers, R(l,k), the edge numbers, e(l,k;n) and graphs that are related to these. The edge number e(l,k;n) may be defined as the least natural number m for which all graphs on n vertices and less than m edges either contains a complete subgraph of size l or an independent set of size k. 5. On minimal triangle-free Ramsey graphs
Sammanfattning : A graph G is called a minimal Ramsey (3, k; n)-graph if it has the least amount of edges, e(3, k; n), possible given that G is triangle-free, has independence number α(G) < k an has n vertices. The numbers e(3, k; n) and the minimalRamsey graphs are directly related to the Ramsey numbers R(3, k). LÄS MER
