  1. 1. Comfort climate evaluation with thermal manikin methods and computer simulation models

    Författare :Håkan O. Nilsson; Högskolan i Gävle; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; equivalent temperature; subject; thermal manikin; mannequin; thermal climate assessment; heat loss; office environment; cabin climate; ventilated seat; computer model; CFD; clothing-independent; comfort zone diagram; Civil engineering and architecture; Samhällsbyggnadsteknik och arkitektur;

    Sammanfattning : Increasing concern about energy consumption and the simultaneous need for an acceptable thermal environment makes it necessary to estimate in advance what effect different thermal factors will have on the occupants. Temperature measurements alone do not account for all climate effects on the human body and especially not for local effects of convection and radiation. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Deep learning on large neuroimaging datasets

    Författare :Johan Jönemo; Anders Eklund; Ida Häggström; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a medical imaging method that has become increasingly more important during the last 4 decades. This is partly because it allows us to acquire a 3D-representation of a part of the body without exposing patients to ionizing radiation. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Lärande i rörelse. Utveckling av kroppslig förmåga ur ett icke-dualistiskt perspektiv

    Författare :Helene Bergentoft; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; kroppshållning; idrott och hälsa; variationsteori; learning study; interventionsstudie; klassrumsforskning;

    Sammanfattning : Uppsatsens ambition är att genom en learning study av undervisningsmomentet kroppshållning vid löpning påvisa hur ett innehåll i skolämnet idrott och hälsa kan behandlas på ett icke dualistiskt sätt. Syftet är därmed att studera hur ett specifikt innehåll gestaltas och konstitueras i undervisningspraktiken i idrott och hälsa. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Upper Extremity Musculoskeletal Disorders In Female Machine milkers - An Epidemiological, Clinical and Ergonomic Study

    Författare :Marianne Stål; Människan i rörelse: hälsa och rehabilitering; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; biaxial eletrogoniometer; movements; wrist positions; pronator syndrome; median nerve entrapment; clinical examination; hands; wrists; upper extremity musculoskeletal disorders; agriculture; Cross-sectional study; female milkers; electromyography muscles of the forearm.; Occupational health; industrial medicine; Yrkesmedicin; arbetsmiljömedicin;

    Sammanfattning : The aims of the thesis were to investigate the prevalence of the upper extremity musculoskeletal disorders in female milkers in relation to other occupational groups; to clarify the relationship between disorders and work environment, psychosocial and life style factors; to compare in a prospective study, pain, ache and discomfort reported by a questionnaire with clinical symptoms and sign; to examine milkers with wrist and hand disorders with regard to type and localization of the tissue injury; to quantify the work load on forearms, wrists and hands during machine milking. An increased risk developing symptoms in wrists and hands was noted in the active milker group compared to the non-milker and the nursing assistant group. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Spinal Cord Processing of Sensory Information: Spatial Organization and Adaptive Mechanisms

    Författare :Anders Levinsson; Malmö Diagnostisk radiologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Neurologi; neurophysiology; neuropsychology; Neurology; transplantatioin; pain; sensorimotor; plasticity; reflex; neuropsykologi; neurofysiologi;

    Sammanfattning : Principles for sensorimotor transformation and plasticity in the spinal cord and functional repair in the root-avulsed spinal cord were studied. A comparative study confirmed that the nociceptive withdrawal reflex (NWR) system is composed of reflex modules, with each performing a finely tuned transformation of skin sensory input to activity in one muscle.
