Sammanfattning : Syftet med föreliggande avhandling var att undersöka socialsekreterares utredningar och bedömningar av ungdomar som uppvisat kriminellt beteende, samt matchning mellan bedömda behov och rekommenderade behandlingsinsatser. I synnerhet var syftet att undersöka om strukturerad risk- och behovsbedömning kan leda till bättre kvalitet på utredningar i form av fler dokumenterade risk- och skyddsfaktorer, säkrare prediktion av återfall i allvarliga brott, bättre matchning till relevanta behandlingsinsatser, samt om grad av matchning mellan behov och insatser påverkar ungdomars återfall.
