1. On some topics in operator theory : An unfinished story about mathematical control
Sammanfattning : This thesis considers differentiation of non-negative, fractional order, composed with Hardy spacetypeHankel operators. H2-boundedness is characterized in terms of a reproducing kernel thesis. LÄS MER
2. Cloud Droplet Forming Potential of Ageing Soot and Surfactant Particles : Laboratory research and Köhler modelling
Sammanfattning : Aerosol particles affect Earth’s climate system by scattering and absorbing light. The perturbation of the climate system caused by a change in aerosol configuration due to anthropogenic emissions has recently improved. LÄS MER
3. Skapandets rätt : ett kulturvetenskapligt perspektiv på den svenska upphovsrättens historia
Sammanfattning : The Rights of Creativity is a study of Swedish copyright history from the birth of Sweden’s first copyright legislation in the early 19th century to the passing of the current law in 1960. As the title suggests, the law is regarded as part of a wider cultural context and the dissertation moves beyond the borders of legal history and analyses the law in relation to the history of literature, film, television and other media that partly reflect and partly intersect with the legislative process. 4. Classes of DNA associated with telomeres in the chironomids C. pallidivittatus and C. tentans
Sammanfattning : Telomeres in Chironomus consist of long complex tandem DNA repeats, which in C. pallidivittatus have been shown to extend to the extreme end of chromosomes. In C. pallidivittatus the telomeric repeats are present in large blocks, 50-200kb in size, most of them belonging to four major subfamilies. LÄS MER
5. Studies on mRNA turnover in bacteria
Sammanfattning : Genetic information, which is stored in DNA, is transferred to messenger RNA (mRNA) in a process called transcription. mRNAs are then translated by ribosomes into proteins which, with some important exceptions, catalyze chemical reactions in cells. Since cells must be able to adapt to changes in the environment, mRNAs must be unstable. LÄS MER
