  1. 21. Stimulating the diffusion of environmental technologies through export

    Författare :Wisdom Kanda; Olof Hjelm; Dzamila Bienkowska; Totti Könnölä; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; Environmental Technology; Technology Diffusion; Export; Internationalisation;

    Sammanfattning : Contemporary environmental problems represent complex societal challenges, and as these problems become increasingly global, the international diffusion of environmental technologies is essential. One way to diffuse technologies internationally is through export. LÄS MER

  2. 22. Shape and Being Shaped : Sketching with Haptics in Soma Design

    Författare :Charles Windlin; Kristina Höök; Jarmo Laaksolahti; Anders Lundström; Bill Buxton; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Sketching; Soma Design; Constructive Design Research; Haptic Interaction Design; first-person; Människa-datorinteraktion; Human-computer Interaction;

    Sammanfattning : Sketching is an integral part of the design process, and it often occurs in the early ideation phase where the focus is on expressing ideas, thoughts, and emotions, allowing them to take shape and making it possible to share them with others to propel the design process forwards. In principle, sketching is a process of externalising thoughts into visualisations, and it influences the creator and collaborators by enabling them to realise and reflect on the possibility and viability of their ideas and develop them further by adding to or subtracting from the sketches. 3. 23. Incumbent Actors in Sectoral Transformations Towards Sustainability : A sociotechnical study of the European heavy commercial vehicles sector

    Författare :Benny Behbood Borghei; Thomas Magnusson; Christian Berggren; Sjoerd Bakker; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Industrial sectors need to be transformed in response to the increasing demands for environmental sustainability as one of the greatest challenges in the modern times. In social science research, extensive efforts have been made over the recent decades to formulate comprehensive theories about transformation of various sectors such as energy, manufacturing, agriculture, food and transportation. 4. 24. Holistic Grasping: Affordances, Grasp Semantics, Task Constraints

    Författare :Martin Hjelm; Danica Kragic; Markus Vincze; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; robotics; robotic grasping; grasping; cognition; embodied cognition; computer vision; machine learning; artificial intelligence; AI; Gaussian process; Gaussian process latent variable model; GPLVM; 3D vision; point cloud features; robotik; manipulation; datorseende; maskininlärning; artificiell intelligens; kognition; Computer Science; Datalogi;

    Sammanfattning : Most of us perform grasping actions over a thousand times per day without giving it much consideration, be it from driving to drinking coffee. Learning robots the same ease when it comes to grasping has been a goal for the robotics research community for decades. LÄS MER

  5. 25. A Time and Place for Agency

    Författare :Lucinda David; Institutionen för kulturgeografi och ekonomisk geografi; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Agency; Resilience; Temporality; place leadership; Policy; Regional development; institutional change; timing norms;

    Sammanfattning : If places indeed matter, as economic geographers believe, then it must matter most to the people who live their everyday lives in these places and experience the world materially and socially through it. When a crisis hits and uncertainty ensues, it affects people who call these places home the most. LÄS MER
