  1. 11. Designing Interactive Learning Environments to Support Learners’ Understanding in Complex Domains

    Författare :Marcelo Milrad; Växjö universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; interactive learning environments; complex domains; social constructivism; collaborative learning; construction kits; system dynamics simulations; collaborative modelling tools.; Information technology; Informationsteknologi; Cognitive science; Kognitionsvetenskap; Media Technology; Media Technology;

    Sammanfattning : This dissertation focuses on the design of interactive learning environments (ILEs) to support learning in complex domains. Previous research efforts in this field indicate that we lack a well-articulated design framework with sufficient detail to take us from a socially-situated, problem-based, collaborative learning perspective to the design of a particular learning environment for a particular subject domain. 2. 12. Behaving as a Christ‐Believer : A Cognitive Perspective on Identity and Behavior Norms in Ephesians

    Författare :Rikard Roitto; Håkan Ulfgard; Bengt Holmberg; Petri Luomanen; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Ephesians; norms; behavior norms; morality; social identity; social identity theory; social cognition; attribution; cognitive science; New Testament exegesis; Efesierbrevet; normer; beteendenormer; moral; social identitet; social identitetsteori; social kognition; attribution; kognitionsvetenskap; Nya testamentets exegetik; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP;

    Sammanfattning : This study contributes to the understanding of how first century Christ-believers, particularly those who shared the imagination of Ephesians, experienced the relation between their social identity as Christ-believers and behavior norms. In order to understand this, a number of theories from the cognitive sciences are used in combination with historical-critical methods. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Modalities of Mind : Modality-specific and nonmodality-specific aspects of working memory for sign and speech

    Författare :Mary Rudner; Jerker Rönnberg; Alan Baddeley; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Cognition; sign language; working memory; fMRI; PET; disability research; Korttidsminne; teckenspråk; Cognitive science; Kognitionsvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Language processing is underpinned by working memory and while working memory for signed languages has been shown to display some of the characteristics of working memory for speech-based languages, there are a range of anomalous effects related to the inherently visuospatial modality of signed languages. On the basis of these effects, four research questions were addressed in a series of studies:1. LÄS MER

  4. 14. Att förstå och förändra systemutvecklingsverksamheter : en taxonomi för metautveckling

    Författare :Ulf Seigerroth; Göran Goldkuhl; Sven Carlsson; Stefan Cronholm; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; systemutveckling; taxonomi; metautveckling; hierarkidimension; processdimension; temadimension; Cognitive science; Kognitionsvetenskap; Information technology;

    Sammanfattning : Utveckling av systemutvecklingsverksamheter (metautveckling) är ett komplext fenomen där det finns ett dokumenterat utvecklingsbehov vad gäller förståelse, beskrivningar och guidning relaterat till metautveckling. Som en följd av detta och baserat på ett forskningsintresse har jag sedan 1997 varit aktivt involverad i fyra förändringsprojekt i olika systemutvecklingsverksamheter (Myndigheten, Läkemedelsföretaget, Programvaruföretaget och Konsultföretaget). 5. 15. Reality-based brain-computer interaction

    Författare :Daniel Sjölie; Lars-Erik Janlert; Johan Eriksson; John Waterworth; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; reality-based brain-computer interaction; virtual reality; reality-based interaction; brain-computer interface; activity theory; the free-energy principle; grounded cognition; Cognitive science; Kognitionsvetenskap; Computer science; Datalogi; människa-datorinteraktion; människa-datorinteraktion;

    Sammanfattning : Recent developments within human-computer interaction (HCI) and cognitive neuroscience have come together to motivate and enable a framework for HCI with a solid basis in brain function and human reality. Human cognition is increasingly considered to be critically related to the development of human capabilities in the everyday environment (reality). LÄS MER
