  1. 16. Unpacking the Flow : Knowledge Transfer in MNCs

    Författare :Magnus Persson; Mats Forsgren; Ulf Andersson; Ram Mudambi; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Business studies; Knowledge transfer; Innovation; Multinational corporations; Technology; Subsidiary; Företagsekonomi; Business studies; Företagsekonomi;

    Sammanfattning : Multinational corporations (MNCs) are increasingly competing on their ability to utilise knowledge sourced from various parts of the world. In order to draw full advantage of a multinational presence, harnessing the potential of peripheral knowledge assets is a main strategic imperative. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : This thesis analyses how societal adaptation processes in public and private sectors at the regional to local level in Sweden are enacted. The thesis pays particular attention to critical factors that constrain or enable adaptation by focussing on: who are the stakeholders, how do different stakeholders perceive their capacity to adapt, and the role of stakeholder interaction in facilitating adaptation processes A combination of two analytical perspectives is used where one is based on key concepts within adaptation literature, and the other draws on boundary crossing and transdisciplinary knowledge production (stakeholders, adaptive capacity, and science-based stakeholder dialogues). 3. 18. Knowledge based perceptual anchoring : grounding percepts to concepts in cognitive robots

    Författare :Marios Daoutis; Silvia Coradeschi; Amy Loutfi; Angelo Cangelosi; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; anchoring; knowledge representation; cognitive perception; symbol grounding; common-sense information; Datavetenskap; Computer and Systems Science;

    Sammanfattning : A successful articial cognitive agent needs to integrate its perception of the environment with reasoning and actuation. A key aspect of this integration is the perceptual-symbolic correspondence, which intends to give meaning to the concepts the agent refers to { known as Anchoring. However, perceptual representations alone (e.g. LÄS MER

  4. 19. Cognitive epistemology : Knowledge as a natural phenomenon

    Författare :Andreas Stephens; Teoretisk filosofi; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; knowledge; cognitive epistemology; naturalistic epistemology; cognitive psychology; evolutionary systems theory;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates the question ‘What is knowledge?’ In intuition-based epistemology the question is often considered to concern how ‘knowledge’ is used linguistically or conceptually rather than what knowledge is. In addition, since intuitions are used as evidence despite empirical experiments indicating that people’s intuitions vary a great deal and that little conclusive systematicity can be found, it is argued that approaches with such a focus cannot provide a solid foundation to answer the initial question. 5. 20. Transformational knowledge practices in social-ecological systems

    Författare :Diego Galafassi; Victor Galaz; David Tàbara; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; transformations; knowledge coproduction; participatory processes; creativity; art-science; scenarios;

    Sammanfattning : Climate change and poverty alleviation are examples of interconnected challenges propelling changes across environmental, social, cultural and political spheres. Interconnected challenges are characterized by multiple causality, feedback loops, non-linear dynamics. LÄS MER
