  1. 1. Reuse of Engineering Knowledge: Perspectives on Experience-Based Codified Knowledge in Incremental Product Development

    Författare :Daniel Stenholm; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; engineering knowledge; knowledge management life cycle; engineering checksheet; knowledge assets; experience-based knowledge; knowledge reuse; knowledge management;

    Sammanfattning : Product development is a knowledge-intensive activity and as products become more complex and competition intensifies, the amount of knowledge increases. A prerequisite for engineers who apply current best practices and continuously improve their working methodologies is to efficiently reuse existing knowledge. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Knowledge engineering in the virtual enterprise : exploring a maturity-based decision support

    Författare :Christian Johansson; Tobias Larsson; Andreas Larsson; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Knowledge Engineering; Knowledge Maturity; Functional Product Development; Decision Making; Funktionella produkter;

    Sammanfattning : In product development, lead-time reduction, cost reduction, and quality improvement are issues that companies want to improve on to increase competitiveness. One recent approach to reach this - particularly in the aerospace industry where the complexity of product offers is steadily increasing - is to manage risk by forming virtual enterprises. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Daggers, knowledge & power

    Författare :Jan Apel; Uppsala universitet; []

  4. 4. Unpacking the Flow : Knowledge Transfer in MNCs

    Författare :Magnus Persson; Mats Forsgren; Ulf Andersson; Ram Mudambi; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Business studies; Knowledge transfer; Innovation; Multinational corporations; Technology; Subsidiary; Företagsekonomi; Business studies; Företagsekonomi;

    Sammanfattning : Multinational corporations (MNCs) are increasingly competing on their ability to utilise knowledge sourced from various parts of the world. In order to draw full advantage of a multinational presence, harnessing the potential of peripheral knowledge assets is a main strategic imperative. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Knowledge maturity as decision support in stage-gate product development : a case from the aerospace industry

    Författare :Christian Johansson; Andreas Larsson; Marco Bertoni; Dave Randall; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Knowledge Maturity; Knowledge Management; Stage-Gate; Decision Support; Product Development; Product-Service Systems; Aerospace; Funktionella produkter;

    Sammanfattning : In today’s fast-paced industry where fight for market share is fierce and reaching the market ahead of competition imperative, product development is a target for lead-time reductions. In this context, in product development in stage-gate processes, decisions need to be made even though knowledge and information are scarce and flawed. LÄS MER
