6. Closing the Loop by Combining UASB Reactor and Reactive Bed Filetr Technology for wastewater Treatment : Modelling and Practical Approaches
Sammanfattning : A laboratory-scale upflow anaerobic sludge blanket (UASB) reactor followed by a packed bed reactor (PBR) filled with Sorbulite® in the lower part and Polonite® in the upper part was used to treat household wastewater in a 50-week experiment. A model was developed to describe the performance of the UASB reactor, including mass transfer through the film around anaerobic granules, intra-particle diffusion and bioconversion of the substrate. 7. Drying kinetics, coalescence and agglomeration of dairy products particles
Sammanfattning : Spray drying is used in the food, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries for producing powder from a liquid feed. The unique advantages of spray drying are producing powders of a specific particle size and moisture content, handling heat sensitive products, and high capacity. However, spray drying is a complex process. LÄS MER
8. Photon stimulated CVD of amorphous carbon thin films : By Mikael Lindstram
Sammanfattning : Amorphous carbon has attracted much interest for several decades now because of its complex crystal structure and microstructure. Depending on the carbon sp2/sp3 bonding ratio, these materials yield a broad spectrum of useful properties; which can be tailored for specific applications. LÄS MER
9. Process Optimization of UV-Based Advanced Oxidation Processes in VOC Removal Applications
Sammanfattning : Air pollution is a major concern in developed countries due to its hazardous health effects. Recent studies by the WHO (World Health Organization) estimate that urban air pollution causes a number of diseases of the respiratory tract and is associated with 150,000 deaths each year. LÄS MER
10. Evolutionary and Pharmacological Studies of NPY and QRFP Receptors
Sammanfattning : The neuropeptide Y (NPY) system consists of 3-4 peptides and 4-7 receptors in vertebrates. It has powerful effects on appetite regulation and is involved in many other biological processes including blood pressure regulation, bone formation and anxiety. LÄS MER
