  1. 1. Viscoelastic Materials : Identification and Experiment Design

    Författare :Agnes Rensfelt; Torsten Söderström; Händel Peter; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; viscoelastic materials; complex modulus; system identification; optimal experiment design; distributed parameter systems; frequency domain identification; wave propagation; Automatic control; Reglerteknik; Elektroteknik med inriktning mot reglerteknik; Electrical Engineering with specialization in Automatic Control;

    Sammanfattning : Viscoelastic materials can today be found in a wide range of practical applications. In order to make efficient use of these materials in construction, it is of importance to know how they behave when subjected to dynamic load. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Interpretive Functions of Adjectives in English : A Cognitive Approach

    Författare :Helena Frännhag; Carita Paradis; Kristin Davidse; Engelska; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; adjective; meaning; meaning creation; interpretation; formal interpretive function; semantic interpretive function; kind identification; element identification; identity provision; stipulation; specification; Languages and linguistics; Språkvetenskap; Lingvistik; Linguistics; Engelsk språkvetenskap; English; specification; stipulation; adjective; noun; meaning creation; cognitive semantics; interpretation; formal interpretive function; semantic interpretive function; kind identification; identity provision; element identification;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis presents a theoretical discussion of meaning creation in general, and interpretive functions of English adjectives in particular. The discussion rests on a dynamic view of meaning and interpretation, according to which there are no fixed linguistics meanings – not even for single lexemes. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Fast Algorithms for Integral Equations and Least Squares Identification Problems

    Författare :Stefan Ljung; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Fast algorithms; Integral equations; Least squares; Identification;

    Sammanfattning : This work is concerned with fast algorithms for integral equations and least squares identification problems.The presentation is divided into three parts. In the first part a fast algorithm for solving systems oflinear equations with a matrix that is alm ost Toeplitz is derived and applied to Fredholm integral equations with stationary kernels. 4. 4. Refugeeship - A project of justification : Claiming asylum in England and Sweden

    Författare :Nicola Magnusson; Anders Gustavsson; Jonas Otterbeck; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; identification; positioning; asylum system; asylum seeker; refugee; moral career; justification; refugeeship; Education; Pedagogik; pedagogik; Education;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to explore the asylum process from an experiential perspective, starting in the country of origin, fleeing, claiming asylum and being granted refugee status. The theoretical interest is to contribute with an understanding of how this asylum process impacts on personal meaning-making, focusing on identification and positioning work of the person forced to flee and make an asylum claim. 5. 5. Estimation Problems in Array Signal Processing, System Identification, and Radar Imagery

    Författare :Richard Abrahamsson; Peter Stoica; A. Lee Swindlehurst; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Parameter Estimation; Array Signal Processing; STAP; SAR; Ground Penetrating Radar; System Identification; Bilinear Models; Covariance Matrix Estimation; Signal processing; Signalbehandling; Signalbehandling; Signal Processing;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis is concerned with parameter estimation, signal processing, and applications. In the first part, imaging using radar is considered. More specifically, two methods are presented for estimation and removal of ground-surface reflections in ground penetrating radar which otherwise hinder reliable detection of shallowly buried landmines.
