1. Chemical-Looping Combustion with Liquid Fuel — Operation in a 300W Chemical-Looping Combustor
Sammanfattning : Chemical-looping combustion (CLC) is a promising technology for future energy production based on combustion of fossil fuel with inherent CO2 separation. In comparison to other carbon capture technologies there is no need for energy demanding gas separation using CLC in order to obtain pure CO2. LÄS MER
2. Chemical-Looping Combustion with Liquid Fuel
Sammanfattning : Chemical-looping combustion (CLC) is a promising technology for future energy conversion on the basis of combustion of fossil fuels with inherent CO2 separation. In comparison to other carbon-capture technologies there is no need for energy demanding gas separation in order to obtain pure CO2. LÄS MER
3. Automatic Analysis and Reduction of Reaction Mechanisms for Complex Fuel Combustion
Sammanfattning : This work concentrates on automatic procedures for simplifying chemical models for realistic fuels using skeletal mechanism construction and Quasi Steady-State Approximation (QSSA) applied to detailed reaction mechanisms. To automate the selection of species for removal or approximation, different indices for species ranking have thus been proposed. LÄS MER
4. Small-Scale Production of Fuel-Cell Hydrogen
Sammanfattning : The work presented here aims at producing hydrogen for proton-exchange fuel-cell applications from hydrocarbons. This thesis describes an integrated catalytic converter comprising a steam-reforming reactor (heat of reaction supplied by catalytic combustion), a water-gas shift reactor and a preferential oxidation of carbon monoxide reactor, and the work performed on the fuel processing catalysts therein. 5. Conceptual design and investigation of hydrogen-fueled regional freighter aircraft
Sammanfattning : This thesis presents the conceptual design and comparison of five versions of regional freighter aircraft based on the ATR 72. The versions comprise four baseline designs differing in their propulsion systems (jet/turboprop) and the fuel they use (kerosene/hydrogen). LÄS MER
