    Sammanfattning : This dissertation focuses especially on the late Viking period and the early Middle Ages. Special emphasis is laid on the town of Sigtuna and the three provinces of Tiundaland, Attundaland and Fjädrundaland (the territory now known as Uppland).     Sammanfattning : Maternal type 1 diabetes is associated with an increased risk for foetal malformations. The mechanism by which diabetes is teratogenic is not fully known. Previous studies have demonstrated that radical oxygen species can contribute to the teratogenicity of glucose and diabetes. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Although most biomedical devices are non-toxic, disturbed acute and chronic inflammation and the lack of integration in tissues is a concern. At the time of biomaterial insertion, protein adsorption onto material surfaces precedes cell adhesion and is believed to alter unfavorably the acute inflammatory response and the subsequent tissue healing.
