  1. 1. Toxicokinetics of inhaled trimethylbenzenes in man

    Författare :Jill Järnberg; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Medical sciences; trimethylbenzene; dimethylhippuric acid; white spirit; toxicokinetics; biological monitoring; human; MEDICIN OCH VÅRD; MEDICINE; MEDICIN; arbets- och miljömedicin; Occupational and Environmental Medicine;

    Sammanfattning : In the toxicological risk assessment, data on the uptake and disposition (toxicokinetics) of the chemical is important. The three isomeric trimethylbenzenes (TMBs) are widely used as components in solvent mixtures and motor fuels. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Analytical methods for studying polychlorinated naphtalene congener profiles and levels in the Environment

    Författare :Ulf Järnberg; Terry Bidleman; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Analytical chemistry; Analytisk kemi; Analytical Chemistry; analytisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis describes the development, refinement and application of analytical techniques in conjunction with other methods for studying the environmental occurrence, distribution and transformation of polychlorinated naphthalenes (PCNs). The procedures involve selective high-performance liquid chromatographic fractionation on a styrene-divinylbenzene gel permeation column and 2-(1-pyrenyl)ethyldimethylsilylated silica column combined with high resolution gas chromatography and low resolution mass spectrometry. 3. 3. Analysis and human levels of persistent perfluorinated chemicals

    Författare :Anna Kärrman; Gunilla Lindström; Bert van Bavel; Ulf Järnberg; Jessika Hagberg; Lennart Hardell; Derek Muir; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; PFOS; PFOA; SPE; LC-MS; human exposure; Chemistry; Kemi; Chemistry; Kemi;

    Sammanfattning : An extensive use of perfluorinated chemicals (PFCs) in the last 50 years has resulted in a worldwide spread of these persistent chemicals. Human populations are subjected to a large number of PFCs in ways that are not yet fully explained. LÄS MER
