  2. 17. Bayesian Cluster Analysis : Some Extensions to Non-standard Situations

    Författare :Jessica Franzén; Daniel Thorburn; Jukka Corander; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Cluster analysis; Clustering; Classification; Mixture model; Gaussian; Bayesian inference; MCMC; Gibbs sampler; Deviant group; Longitudinal; Missing data; Multiple imputation; Statistics; Statistik; Statistics; statistik;

    Sammanfattning : The Bayesian approach to cluster analysis is presented. We assume that all data stem from a finite mixture model, where each component corresponds to one cluster and is given by a multivariate normal distribution with unknown mean and variance. LÄS MER

  3. 18. Prior Knowledge and Recognition Memory : a Computational Modeling Approach

    Författare :Johan Hellman; Institutionen för psykologi; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Recognition memory; Episodic memory; Pre-experimental familiarity; Event-Related Potentials; Item variability; Receiver-Operating Characteristics; Computational Models;

    Sammanfattning : For more than a century, an immense interest has been devoted to the study of recognition memory, where a multitude of memory phenomena has been explained. Recognition memory is usually described with parsimonious measurement and statistical models, stemming from dual process theory and signal detection theory. LÄS MER

  4. 19. Theory and validity evidence for a large-scale test for selection to higher education

    Författare :Jonathan Wedman; Marie Wiberg; Per-Erik Lyrén; Jo-Anne Baird; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SweSAT; validity; theoretical model; score reporting; subscores; DIF; equating; linking; Högskoleprovet; validitet; teoretisk modell; rapportering av provpoäng; ekvivalering; länkning; didactics of educational measurement; beteendevetenskapliga mätningar;

    Sammanfattning : Validity is a crucial part of all forms of measurement, and especially in instruments that are high-stakes to the test takers. The aim of this thesis was to examine theory and validity evidence for a recently revised large-scale instrument used for selection to higher education in Sweden, the Swedish Scholastic Assessment Test (SweSAT), as well as identify threats to its validity. 5. 20. Patients’ experiences of continuity of care : What is needed and how can it be measured?

    Författare :Linda Ljungholm; Mirjam Ekstedt; Cecilia Fagerström; Kristofer Årestedt; Ingrid Djukanovic; Helle Wijk; Linnéuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Vårdvetenskap; Caring Science;

    Sammanfattning : Aim: The overall aim for this thesis was to explore continuity of care through patients’, family carers’, and health care personnel’s perceptions, and to develop and evaluate a patient-reported experience measure of continuity of care.Method: This thesis consists of four studies; I have a qualitative explorative design and II have a qualitative descriptive design, whereas III and IV are methodological studies.
