  1. 11. The Autism-Tics, ADHD and other Comorbidities inventory (A-TAC). Validity, reliability, and the measurement of autism in males and females

    Författare :Caroline Mårland; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; neurodevelopmental disorders; autism; ADHD; A-TAC; screening; sex; item response theory; differential item functioning;

    Sammanfattning : The Autism–Tics, ADHD and other Comorbidities inventory (A–TAC) is a broad-band screening instrument for neurodevelopmental disorder (e.g., autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and learning disorder (LD)), and commonly co-occurring disorders within child and adolescent psychiatry (e.g. LÄS MER

  2. 12. A Facet Model of the Logical Operational Structures of Piaget's Theory : Guttman's Facet Design applied to Piaget's Theory

    Författare :Barbro Bergling; Siv Fischbein; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; facet design; Piaget; operational thinking; Rasch; partial credit model; hierarchical model; psykologi; Psychology;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis explored whether the complex structure of Piaget's theory of operational thinking could be synthesized into a facet model by means of facet design. The aims were: (1) to deduce from detailed conceptual analyses of 12 of Piaget's classical experiments the essential parts of the operational structures (Study I); (2) to explore the internal structure of his constructs in terms of a mapping sentence (Study II); (3) to study the hierarchical structure of the interrelationships between the constructs (Study III); and (4) to apply the facet model in the development of test items (Study II and IV). 3. 13. Exploring and modeling response process data from PISA : inferences related to motivation and problem-solving

    Författare :Erik Lundgren; Hanna Eklöf; Inga Laukaityte; Per-Erik Lyrén; Samuel Greiff; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; response processes; large-scale assessments; motivation; problem-solving; computational modeling; Bayesian modeling; didactics of educational measurement; beteendevetenskapliga mätningar;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis explores and models response process data from large-scale assessments, focusing on test-taking motivation, problem-solving strategies, and questionnaire response validity. It consists of four studies, all using data from PISA (Programme for International Student Assessment) data. LÄS MER

  4. 14. Novel Pharmacometric Methods for Design and Analysis of Disease Progression Studies

    Författare :Sebastian Ueckert; Andrew C. Hooker; Mats O. Karlsson; Kayode Ogungbenro; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; pharmacometrics; optimal design; non-linear mixed effects models; degenerative diseases; Alzheimer s disease; item response theory; statistical power; Pharmaceutical Science; Farmaceutisk vetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : With societies aging all around the world, the global burden of degenerative diseases is expected to increase exponentially. From the perspective drug development, degenerative diseases represent an especially challenging class. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Characteristics of the functional independence measure in patients with neurological disorders. Measurement through Rasch analysis

    Författare :Åsa Lundgren Nilsson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :rehabilitation; assessment; measurement; stroke; traumatic brain injury; spinal cord injury; Rasch; item response theory;

    Sammanfattning : The Functional Independence Measure (FIMTM) is an internationally widely used outcome measure, measuring disability in terms of dependence or need of assistance. The aim of this study was to evaluate the structural characteristics of FIMTM using the Rasch model, with regard to scoring function, cross-cultural validity in Europe and cross-diagnostic validity within rehabilitation units in Scandinavia.
