   Sammanfattning : The purpose of the study is to describe and research students roate into the programme, and what it means to students to follow a special secondary school course. The students attended a small specail needs teaching group based on the neuropsychiatric diagnosis of Asperger´s syndrome, which had been made during their years at school. LÄS MER

   Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this study is to analyze and describe the reading of a group of pupils in a preschool class and grade 1 and to search for links between preschool language and cognitive skills and early literacy development. A total of 49 pupils participated in the study and their literacy development was analyzed over two consecutive years in preschool class and grade 1, partly by teacher evaluations and partly by reading tests.    Sammanfattning : This dissertation explores ten teachers' approaches to managing conflicts with/between pupils. The relevance of gender is analysed according to the strategies and representations chosen by the teachers. The methods used for data collection include 'rounds', role-plays and ongoing reflexivity, mainly in single-sex groups. LÄS MER

   Sammanfattning : The aim of this study is to explore the development of how people in different generations of a family with a hereditary hearing loss developed knowledge and to examine the role of the educational system and how it influenced this development.The research questions are:What is the prevalence of the deafness spoken of in the family chronicle?What different kinds of knowledge did the family members with deafness/hearing loss develop and how did they make use of them?In what ways may they have experienced their deafness/hearing loss as a suffering?What knowledge did they develop because the hearing loss recurred in several successive generations?The studied material includes answers from a questionnaire, different historical documents and sixteen interviews.    Sammanfattning : The aim of this study is to analyse the factors underlying successful reading and writing education and the educational conditions promoting reflective didactic skills, focusing on the students’ develop­ment of reading and writing abilities. Large international surveys indicate that the consensus concerning read­ing and writing education achieved by science during the past decade has had limit­ed impact on class­room activities. LÄS MER
