  1. 1. Condensation irrigation : a combined system for desalination and irrigation

    Författare :Jenny Lindblom; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Vattenteknik; Water Resources Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Condensation Irrigation (CI) is a new irrigation method that combines desalination and subsurface irrigation by making use of saline water for supplying clean irrigation. In this system, solar stills are used for evaporating non-potable water, and the formed vapour heats and humidifies the ambient air above the water surface. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Condensation irrigation : simulations of heat and mass transfer

    Författare :Jenny Lindblom; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Vattenteknik; Water Resources Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : There is a growing water demand in the world. Along with the deterioration of existing water supplies, the escalating world population leads to the assumption that two out of three people will lack sufficient freshwater by the year 2025. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The central objectives of this study is to assess the performance of irrigation water management of the Rahad scheme in Sudan between 1977 and 1996. The study assesses how well the scheme has succeeded in achieving irrigation management objectives using the criteria of productivity, equity, cost recovery and environmental stability. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Modernisation and farmer-led irrigation development in Africa : A study of state-farmer interactions in Tanzania

    Författare :Chris de Bont; Lowe Börjeson; Gert Jan Veldwisch; Mats Widgren; Anna Mdee; Stockholms universitet; []

    Sammanfattning : After years of relatively low investment, irrigation development in Africa has been put back on the policy agenda as a way of increasing agricultural productivity. In spite of existing evidence of farmers’ irrigation initiatives across the African continent, current policy prescriptions still revolve around (large-scale) state intervention. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Evaluation of Modern Irrigation Techniques with Brackish Water

    Författare :Tarek Selim Aboulila; Avdelningen för Teknisk vattenresurslära; []
