21. III-V Nanowire MOSFET High-Frequency Technology Platform
Sammanfattning : This thesis addresses the main challenges in using III-V nanowireMOSFETs for high-frequency applications by building a III-Vvertical nanowire MOSFET technology library. The initial devicelayout is designed, based on the assessment of the current III-V verticalnanowire MOSFET with state-of-the-art performance. LÄS MER
22. On Defect Generation and the Appearance of Injection-Moulded Polymers
Sammanfattning : This thesis addresses the generation of some important manufacturing defects associated with intrinsic limitations of the injection moulding process. These include bulk-surface structural discontinuities, particularly air traps and welds, bulk-surface compositional inhomogeneities and gloss and colour variations. LÄS MER
23. Towards Privacy Preserving Micro-data Analysis : A machine learning based perspective under prevailing privacy regulations
Sammanfattning : Machine learning (ML) has been employed in a wide variety of domains where micro-data (i.e., personal data) are used in the training process. LÄS MER
24. Function of wobble nucleoside modifications in tRNAs of Salmonella enterica Serovar Typhimurium
Sammanfattning : Transfer RNA from all organisms has modified nucleosides and position 34 (the wobble position) is one of the most extensively modified positions. Some wobble nucleoside modifications restrict codon choice (e.g. 5-methylaminomethyl-2-thiouridine, mnm5s2U) while some extend the decoding capacity (e. LÄS MER
25. Further development of NICE-OHMS : – an ultra-sensitive frequency-modulated cavity-enhanced laser-based spectroscopic technique for detection of molecules in gas phase
Sammanfattning : Noise-immune cavity-enhanced optical heterodyne molecular spectroscopy, NICE-OHMS, is a laser-based spectroscopic detection technique that comprises the concepts of frequency modulation (FM, for reduction of 1/f-noise by detecting the signal at a high frequency) and cavity enhancement (CE, for a prolongation of the optical path length) in a unique way. Properly designed, this gives the technique an intrinsic immunity against the frequency-to-noise conversion that limits many other types of CE techniques. LÄS MER
