  1. 1. Interpreting as interaction : On dialogue-interpreting in immigration hearings and medical encounters

    Författare :Cecilia Wadensjö; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; discourse analysis; conversational organization; dialogue interpreting; community interpreting; participation framcwork; presentation of self; miscommunication; INTERDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH AREAS; TVÄRVETENSKAPLIGA FORSKNINGSOMRÅDEN;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis is based on twenty recorded encounters involving, on the one hand Russian speaking laymen, on the other Swedish-speaking representatives of public institutions -- police-officers, nurses and doctors -- and, "in the middle" Dialogue Interpreters.The normative role (Goffman) of a professional Dialogue Interpreter, i.e. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Reality-based brain-computer interaction

    Författare :Daniel Sjölie; Lars-Erik Janlert; Johan Eriksson; John Waterworth; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; reality-based brain-computer interaction; virtual reality; reality-based interaction; brain-computer interface; activity theory; the free-energy principle; grounded cognition; Cognitive science; Kognitionsvetenskap; Computer science; Datalogi; människa-datorinteraktion; människa-datorinteraktion;

    Sammanfattning : Recent developments within human-computer interaction (HCI) and cognitive neuroscience have come together to motivate and enable a framework for HCI with a solid basis in brain function and human reality. Human cognition is increasingly considered to be critically related to the development of human capabilities in the everyday environment (reality). LÄS MER

  3. 3. Nanosized Bilayer Disks as Model Membranes for Interaction Studies

    Författare :Anna Lundquist; Katarina Edwards; Marja-Liisa Riekkola; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Disk; disc; lipid bilayer; PEG-lipid; model membrane; interaction; partitioning; drug; liposome; cryo-TEM; neutron scattering; capillary electrophoresis; immobilization; biosensor; membrane protein; melittin; Chemistry; Kemi;

    Sammanfattning : PEG-lipid stabilized bilayer disks have been found in lipid mixtures containing polyethylene glycol (PEG)-lipids where the combination of a high bending rigidity and low PEG-lipid/lipid miscibility favours disk formation. The disks are planar and circular in shape and their long-term stability is excellent. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Tolkning vid förmedlade samtal via Bildtelefoni.net : interaktion och gemensamt meningsskapande

    Författare :Camilla Warnicke; Charlotta Plejert; Berth Danermark; Anna-Lena Nilsson; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Interaction; Dialogism; Conversation Analysis; Interpreting; Sign Language; Videophone; Multimodality; Creation of Meaning;

    Sammanfattning : The Swedish Bildtelefoni.net is a service that people who use Swedish Sign Language (SSL) through a video phone can call in order to get in touch with people who speak through a telephone, or vice versa. In relayed calls via the Swedish video relay service (FBT), the interlocutors have different access to the visual arena and the auditive space. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Comparing Procurement Methods in Road Construction Projects : Influence on Uncertainty, Interaction and Knowledge

    Författare :Robert Lundström; Martin Johanson; Amjad Hadjikhani; Jaana Tähtinen; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Procurement methods; uncertainty; interaction; knowledge; construction; network; project; Business Studies; Företagsekonomi;

    Sammanfattning : The construction sector is often considered to show a number of limitations regarding efficiency and effectiveness, conclusions normally drawn irrespective of project procurement method used, and despite the common assumption that differences among approaches exist regarding these aspects. The study investigates differences and similarities among procurement methods using a longitudinal multi-case study based on two comparatively large infrastructure projects: a traditional so-called design-bid-build project and an unconventional so-called design-build-maintain project.
