    Sammanfattning : The thesis consists of an analysis on how Swedish Government Official Reports (SOU) and their definition and handling of homosexuality, intersexualism, and transsexualism. Questions concerning the legal definition of a human subject, of human desire and human bodies are central to these reports, and hence the focal point of the thesis is how these definitions are reproduced and altered during the 20th century. The question is approached by reading and interacting critical theorist Judith Butler, psycholinguist Steven Pinker and theologian Colin Gunton.With Gunton the author argues that a relational, but ‘weak’, ontology is needed.     Sammanfattning : In the curriculum for the subject of Swedish reading of literary texts is justified by ideas that literary reading will make the student learn more about the environment in which he/she lives, about herself/himself, as well as about others.
