  1. 1. Osteoarthritis in temporomandibular joint internal derangement

    Författare :Diana Paegle; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :Temporomandibular joint; internal derangement; osteoarthritis;

    Sammanfattning : Internal derangement of the temporomandibular joint is the most common diagnosis leading to joint surgery. Two variants of internal derangement exist, painful clicking and chronic closed lock. Painful clicking is characterized by no or minor arthritic changes. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Diabetes in Young Adults : Remission, β-cell function and markers of inflammation

    Författare :Anna Schölin; Elisabeth Björk; Anders Karlsson; Jan Åman; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Internal medicine; type 1 diabetes; young adults; remission; β-cell function; islet antibodies; gender; CRP; Invärtesmedicin; Internal medicine; Invärtesmedicin; Internal Medicine; invärtesmedicin;

    Sammanfattning : Type 1 diabetes is caused by immuno-mediated β-cell destruction leading to insulin deficiency and hyperglycaemia. The decline in β-cell function and the clinical course after diagnosis vary. Whether the process of destruction of the β-cells is associated with markers of a non-specific inflammatory response is unknown. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Inflammatory and degenerative disease in the temporomandibular joint

    Författare :Göran W Gynther; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :clinical findings; degenerative changes; generalized osteoarthritis; histology; immunohistochemistry; internal derangement; radiographic changes; rheumatoid arthritis; synovial inflammation; temporomandibular jointISBN 91-628-1 9;

    Sammanfattning : Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) arthroscopy is an established technique with high diagnostic accuracy regarding synovitis and degenerative changes of the articular fibrocartilage and disk. However, so far no studies have been done to correlate the macroscopic and histologic findings with each arthroscopic criterion. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Cell motility : the organization of the microfilament system in cultured cells with special emphasis on the cortical weave of actin filaments

    Författare :Roger Karlsson; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : The microfilament system formed by actin, myosin and associated proteins constitutes the molecular basis for many of the motile phenomena which eukaryotic cells express. The organization of this system varies considerably from cell type to cell type, and is characterized on one hand by strictly ordered, more or less flexible arrangements of actin filaments and on the other by actin present in primarily a nonfilamentous form ready to polymerize in response to certain stimuli.
