  1. 11. Operatörens blick : om inplacering av IT-stöd i erfarenhetsöverföring inom en lokal praxis

    Författare :Jörn Messeter; Institutionen för informatik; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; systems theory; Informatics; skill development; tacit knowing; work language; Computer supported learning; work knowledge; Informatik; systemteori;

    Sammanfattning : Studies in process control automation show that manual control skills are important in handling situations where the automatic control system fails. The fact that these skills are particularly difficult to maintain and develop in automated production environments is usually described as one of the ironies of automation. LÄS MER

  2. 12. Perceptually-seductive technology : designing computer support for everyday creativity

    Författare :Eva Lindh Waterworth; Mark Chignell; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; creativity everyday- ; emotion; learning; memory; perceptually-seductive technology; presence;

    Sammanfattning : Perceptually-seductive technology (PST) is introduced as a way of designing IT environments that can help support everyday creativity. This is done in part by using sensory stimulation, seclusion and other perceptual components to seduce an individual towards creative insights that would not occur on the basis of conceptual thought alone. 3. 13. Perspectives on the role of digital tools in students' open-ended physics inquiry

    Författare :Elias Euler; Bor Gregorcic; Cedric Linder; Konrad Schönborn; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; digital learning environments; modeling; semi-formalisms; microworlds; social semiotics; embodied cognition; disciplinary-relevant aspects; Physics with specialization in Physics Education; Fysik med inriktning mot fysikens didaktik;

    Sammanfattning : In this licentiate thesis, I present detailed case studies of students as they make use of simulated digital learning environments to engage with physics phenomena. In doing so, I reveal the moment-to-moment minutiae of physics students’ open-ended inquiry in the presence of two digital tools, namely the sandbox software Algodoo and the PhET simulation My Solar System (both running on an interactive whiteboard). 4. 14. Learning in focus : rethinking the role of technology in medical education

    Författare :Italo Masiello; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :Educational technology; learning; medical education; ICT; approaches to learning; innovation;

    Sammanfattning : Educational computer applications have flooded into all fields of education, especially during the past few decades. Medicine is one such domain where technology has overwhelmingly entered the educational sphere, pushed by policy-makers and leaders who thought better to embrace it before even considering it. 5. 15. Datorbaserade animationer i geografiundervisningen : En studie om gymnasieelevers lärande i mötet med datorbaserade animationer om bergartscykeln

    Författare :Mattias Arrhenius; Lena Molin; Leif Östman; Eva Lundqvist; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Computer based animations; collaborative learning; pragmatism; attention; gaps; rock cycle; Geography; Geografi; Curriculum Studies; Didaktik;

    Sammanfattning : Animations are new visualization tools for the teachers to use in their education practice when teaching about complex models in science. The school environment is a social arena where collaborative learning is a recognized teaching method, often used by teachers as it motivates students and enables them to participate and share knowledge with each other.
