  1. 1. Designing Energy-Sensitive Interactions Conceptualising Energy from the Perspective of Electric Cars

    Detta är en avhandling från Stockholm : KTH Royal Institute of Technology

    Författare :Anders Lundström; KTH.; [2016]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Interaction design; Electric vehicles; Range anxiety; Energy management; Battery management; Intergy; Exergy; Anergy; Energy-Sensitive Interactions; Energy dynamics; Energy compromises; Empowerment; Resourceful interaction; Människa-datorinteraktion; Human-computer Interaction;

    Sammanfattning : As technology is increasingly used in mobile settings, energy and battery management is becoming a part of everyday life. Many have experienced how quickly a battery can be depleted in a smartphone, laptop or electric cars, sometimes causing much distress. LÄS MER

    Detta är en avhandling från Uppsala : Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis

    Författare :Simon Lindroth [formerly Tyrberg]; Uppsala universitet.; [2011]
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Wave power; Measurement systems; Marine technology; Energy conversion; Renewable energy; Energy absorption; Wave resource; Oceanic engineering; Linear generators; Point absorbers; Sea trials; Camera systems; Accelerometers; Offshore experiments; Engineering Science with specialization in Science of Electricity; Teknisk fysik med inriktning mot elektricitetslära;

    Sammanfattning : On March 13th, 2006, the Division of Electricity at Uppsala University deployed its first wave energy converter, L1, in the ocean southwest of Lysekil. L1 consisted of a buoy at the surface, connected through a line to a linear generator on the seabed. LÄS MER

  3. 3. The social organization of energy efficiency in shipping: a practice-based study

    Detta är en avhandling från ; Chalmers tekniska högskola; Gothenburg

    Författare :Martin Viktorelius; [2017]
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Activity theory; Energy efficiency; Energy consumption; Knowing-in-practice; Shipping; Practice theory; Practice based studies; Energy management; Work;

    Sammanfattning : The central research question explored in this study is how energy efficiency is organized onboard large merchant ships. The dominant techno-economical approach within energy research and policy, in general, and shipping research and policy, in particular, is reviewed and criticized as being too limited for understanding the challenges and opportunities related to the organization and management of energy efficiency in shipping companies. 4. 4. Winter Road Maintenance using Renewable Thermal Energy

    Detta är en avhandling från ; Chalmers tekniska högskola; Gothenburg

    Författare :Josef Johnsson; [2017]
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Hydronic pavements; borehole thermal energy storage; winter road maintenance; BRIDGESIM; numerical simulations; BTES; renewable energy;

    Sammanfattning : Winter road maintenance is costly but it is inevitable since it is necessary to keep roads accessible and safe during winter. Current winter road maintenance methods use annually 600 000 tons of salt, in the Nordic countries. The salt ends up in the environment along the roads and results in environmental challenges. 5. 5. Designing for shared energy responsibility

    Detta är en avhandling från Kungliga Tekniska högskolan

    Författare :Hanna Hasselqvist; KTH.; [2018]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; human-computer interaction; design; sustainability; practices; energy; mobility; Människa-datorinteraktion; Human-computer Interaction;

    Sammanfattning : A significant part of the world’s carbon emissions is related to energy use for housing and personal transport, and there are many efforts to make this energy use more sustainable. In the field of Sustainable Human-Computer Interaction, there has been a great interest in exploring how interactive systems can be used to influence people’s energy use, often with a focus on providing information and encouraging energy users to change their behaviours.
