  1. 1. Loyal Speed Adaptation Speed limitation by means of an active accelerator and its possible impacts in built-up areas

    Författare :Sverker Almqvist; Trafik och väg; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; active accelerator; LSA; speed; speed reduction; driver behaviour; traffic safety; ISA; Teknik; Technological sciences; Road transport technology; Vägtransportteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Traditional measures for improved traffic safety need to be complemented by modern technologies in the struggle to reduce the consequences of traffic accidents all over the world. This thesis introduces the Loyal Speed Adaptation (LSA) function based on recent developments in the area of Intelligent Transport Sys-tems to support the vehicle drivers in not using inappropriate or excessive speeds, which have been found to be an important factor for causing serious and fatal accidents. 2. 2. Factors Influencing Drivers' Speeding Behaviour

    Författare :Henriette Wallén Warner; Lars Åberg; J. A. Rothengatter; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Psychology; theory of planned behaviour; driver behaviour questionnaire; intelligent speed adaptation; observed speeding; beliefs; attitudes; Psykologi;

    Sammanfattning : Every year many people all over the world are killed and severely injured in road traffic accidents. Even though driving too fast is a behaviour well known to contribute to both the number and the outcome of these accidents, drivers are still speeding. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Onboard condition monitoring of vehicle-track dynamic interaction using machine learning : Enabling the railway industry’s digital transformation

    Författare :Rohan Kulkarni; Mats Berg; Ulf Carlsson; Alireza Qazizadeh; Sebastian Stichel; Jordi Viñolas; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Active preventive maintenance; intelligent fault diagnosis; anomaly detection; vehicle fleet; track irregularities; vehicle hunting; wheel-rail interface.; Farkostteknik; Vehicle and Maritime Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : The railway sector’s reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety (RAMS) can significantly improve by adopting condition based maintenance (CBM). In the CBM regime, maintenance decisions are driven by condition monitoring (CM) of the asset. LÄS MER
