  1. 1. High Temperature Corrosion of Some Stainless Steels

    Författare :Carolina Pettersson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; oxidation of stainless steel; alkali induced corrosion; KCl induced corrosion; Sanicro 28; chromate formation;

    Sammanfattning : The high temperature corrosion of the alloy Sanicro 28 (35Fe27Cr31Ni) is addressed in this thesis. The influence of water vapour and two potassium-containing salts was investigated. In addition, three other alloys were studied. Polished steel coupons were isothermally exposed in tube furnaces at 600–800°C in 5% O2 and in 5% O2 + 40% H2O. LÄS MER

  2. 2. High Temperature Corrosion of Stainless Steels - The Effects of Chloride Salts and SO2(g)

    Författare :Sofia Karlsson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : AbstractThe high corrosion rate of superheaters in waste- and biomass- fired plants is often linked to the presence of alkali chlorides. One way to mitigate the corrosion is to replace the superheater material with more corrosion- resistant materials. Another way is to change the corrosive environment by introducing fuel additives. 3. 3. Chlorine Induced Corrosion in Biomass and Waste Fired Boilers: Laboratory and Field Investigations

    Författare :Nicklas Folkeson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; austenitic; chloride; biomass; high temperature corrosion; ferritic; waste; steel;

    Sammanfattning : The fireside corrosion in biomass and waste fired boilers is widely believed to arise from the presence of chlorine-containing compounds in the fuels. Although many researchers have studied the influence of such compounds on the high temperature corrosion of various steels, the mechanisms underlying chlorine-induced corrosion are still poorly understood. 4. 4. Recycling of selenium from CIGS solar cell materials

    Författare :Anna Gustafsson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; CIGS; Recycling; Thin film; Photovoltaic; Solar cells;

    Sammanfattning : Today the importance of solar cells as a power source is growing due to the environmental advantages compared to fossil fuels. One of the most promising new solar cell materials, resulting in high efficiency solar cells, is copper indium gallium selenide (CIGS). LÄS MER

  5. 5. Functional Profiling Of Metabolic Regulation In Marine Bacteria

    Författare :Saraladevi Muthusamy; Jarone Pinhassi; Torsten Thomas; Sarala Devi Muthusamy; Institutionen för biologi och miljö (BOM) Linnéuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; marine microbiology; physiology; heterotrophic bacteria; adaptive strategies; survival; proteomics; growth phase; proteorhodopsin; inorganic sulphur oxidation; anaplerotic CO2 fixation; Miljövetenskap; Environmental Science;

    Sammanfattning : Oceans are powered by active, metabolically diverse microorganisms, which are important in regulating biogeochemical cycles on Earth. Most of the ocean surface is often limited by nutrients, influencing bacterial growth and activities. LÄS MER
