  1. 11. Drugs and polymers in dissolving solid dispersions : NMR imaging and spectroscopy

    Författare :Carina Dahlberg; István Furó; Anna Millqvist-Fureby; Michael Schuleit; Jadwiga Tritt-Goc; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Physical chemistry; Fysikalisk kemi; Surface and colloid chemistry; Yt- och kolloidkemi; PHARMACY; FARMACI;

    Sammanfattning : The number of poorly water-soluble drug substances in the pharmaceutical pipeline is increasing, and thereby also the need to design effective drug delivery systems providing high bioavailability. One favourable formulation approach is preparation of solid dispersions, where dispersing a poorly water-soluble drug in a water-soluble polymer matrix improves the dissolution behaviour and the bioavailability of the drug. 2. 12. Integration and Packaging Concepts for Infrared Bolometer Arrays

    Författare :Adit Decharat; Göran Stemme; Sjoerd Haasl; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Fabrication; Bonding; packaging; microbolometer; Thermal imaging.; Other electrical engineering; electronics and photonics; Övrig elektroteknik; elektronik och fotonik;

    Sammanfattning :   Infrared (IR) imaging devices based on energy detection has shown a dramatic development in technology along with an impressive price reduction in recent years. However, for a low-end market as in automotive applications, the present cost of IR cameras is still the main obstacle to broadening their usage. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Development of infrared spectroscopy techniques for environmental monitoring

    Författare :Jonas Sandsten; Atomfysik; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; environmental pollution measurements; infrared spectrometers; diffraction and scattering; absorption spectroscopy; remote sensing; ray tracing; image processing; Atomic and molecular physics; Atom- och molekylärfysik; Fysicumarkivet A:2000:Sandsten;

    Sammanfattning : Infrared spectroscopy techniques have long been utilized in identifying and quantifying species of interest to us. Many of the elementary molecules in the atmosphere interact with infrared radiation through their ability to absorb and emit energy in vibrational and rotational transitions. LÄS MER

  4. 14. Multivariate Measurements and Chemical Imaging of Organic Compounds

    Författare :Johan Engelbrektsson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Image analysis; Spectroscopy; Hyperspectral; Chemical Imaging; PCA; PLS; SERS; Wavelet Transform; Multivariate analysis;

    Sammanfattning : Chemical imaging is an emerging analytical technique, based on the interplay between, most often, spectroscopic measurements and advanced evaluation methodology. With this we can study the distribution of chemical compounds in different compartments, such as individual cells and pharmaceutical tablets. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Damage mechanisms for near-infrared radiation induced cataract

    Författare :Zhaohua Yu; Per Söderberg; Konstantin Galichanin; Masami Kojima; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; infrared radiation; photochemical; thermal; forward light scattering; lens; cataract; temperature; Arrhenius equation; heat diffusion;

    Sammanfattning : Purpose: 1) To estimate the threshold dose and the time evolution for cataract induction by near infrared radiation (IRR) in seconds exposure time domain; 2) to determine the ocular temperature development during the threshold exposure; 3) to investigate if near IRR induces cumulative lens damage considering irradiance exposure time reciprocity; 4) to experimentally estimate the temperature in the lens indirectly from the measurement of temperature-induced light scattering increase.Methods: Before exposure, 6-weeks-old albino rats were anesthetized and the pupils of both eyes were dilated.
