  1. 16. Enterprise Social Media in Project-based Knowledge Work : A contextualized view through the lens of activity theory

    Författare :Emma Forsgren; Pam McKenzie; Högskolan i Borås; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; enterprise social media; information sharing; activity theory; case study; Library and Information Science; Biblioteks- och informationsvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Project-based knowledge work is characterised by decentralised and dynamic team-based structures, different from the traditional, bureaucratic organisation. Arguably, this flexible and collaborative work setting could benefit from enterprise social media, which helps facilitate how people connect, collaborate and share information across organisational boundaries. 2. 17. Facilitating collaboration : exploring a socio-technical approach to the design of a collaboratory for Library and Information Science

    Författare :Monica Lassi; Högskolan i Borås; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; scientific collaboration; collaboratories; information sharing; socio-technical design; think aloud methods; prototyping; interaction design; computer supported cooperative work; CSCW; social actors; Library and Information Science; LIS; Library and Information Science; Biblioteks- och informationsvetenskap; scientific collaboration; collaboratories; information sharing; socio-technical design; think aloud methods; prototyping; interaction design; computer supported cooperative work; CSCW; social actors; Library and Information Science; LIS;

    Sammanfattning : The thesis explores the potential of one way of facilitating and stimulating collaboration in Library and Information Science (LIS), through a specific scientific collaboration activity: creating, sharing and reusing data collection instruments, such as interview guides, questionnaires, and observation protocols. The four studies reported in the thesis can be read as a linear narrative, each study building on the previous and contributing to the following ones. LÄS MER

  3. 18. Understanding information sharing in supply chains - Identifying contingency factors that impact benefits of information sharing

    Författare :Joakim Kembro; Teknisk logistik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Logistics; Supply chain; Supply chain management; Information sharing; Information flow; Demand data; Contingency theory; Contextual factor;

    Sammanfattning : To increase our understanding of information sharing in supply chains the purposeof this licentiate was threefold: to review and analyze existing academic literature to describe and structure the research field; to empirically explore information sharing in a supply chain representing more than three tiers; and to explore contingency factors through literature reviews and empirical data collection. Thereby this licentiate thesis addresses several gaps identified in academic literature. LÄS MER

  4. 19. Cooperative anchoring : sharing information about objects in multi-robot systems

    Författare :Kevin LeBlanc; Alessandro Saffiotti; Daniele Nardi; Örebro universitet; []

    Sammanfattning : In order to perform most tasks, robots must perceive or interact with physicalobjects in their environment; often, they must also communicate and reasonabout objects and their properties. Information about objects is typically produced,represented and used in different ways in various robotic sub-systems. LÄS MER

  5. 20. The value of information sharing in automotive supply chains: Understanding the role of information utilisation for operations planning and control

    Författare :Paulina Myrelid; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; information sharing; information utilisation; automotive industry; planning processes; information quality; performance; buyer-supplier relationships; operations planning and control;

    Sammanfattning : The purpose of the thesis is to provide knowledge about the role of information utilisation in suppliers’ operations planning and control (OPC) processes, for generating value of shared demand-related information in automotive supply chains. To do so, the thesis focuses on information utilisation from three different perspectives: (1) how suppliers utilise shared information; (2) why they utilise the information the way they do; and (3) the effect of the utilisation.
