  1. 1. Information Management for Cutting Tools : Information Models and Ontologies

    Författare :Olof Nyqvist; Torsten Kjellberg; Fumihiko Kimura; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Production Engineering; Cutting Tools; Information Models; International Standards; Reference Data; Ontologies; Information technology; Informationsteknologi;

    Sammanfattning : There is an increasing demand for the exchange of important product and manufacturing information in a computer interpretable way. Large manufacturing companies are dependent on having access to the necessary information electronically. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Gender and representation : investigations of bias in natural language processing

    Författare :Hannah Devinney; Henrik Björklund; Jenny Björklund; Christian Hardmeier; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; NLP; natural language processing; gender bias; social impact of AI; gendered pronouns; neopronouns; gender studies; topic modeling; Computer Science; datalogi; computational linguistics; datorlingvistik; genusvetenskap; gender studies;

    Sammanfattning : Natural Language Processing (NLP) technologies are a part of our every day realities. They come in forms we can easily see as ‘language technologies’ (auto-correct, translation services, search results) as well as those that fly under our radar (social media algorithms, 'suggested reading' recommendations on news sites, spam filters). 3. 3. Representation of Compositional Relational Programs

    Författare :Görkem Paçacı; Andreas Hamfelt; Alberto Pettorossi; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Programming; Syntax; Logic Programming; Combilog; CombInduce; Prolog; Variable-free; Point-free; Tacit; Compositional Relational Programming; Combinatory Logic; Predicate-Functor Logic; Program Synthesis; Meta-interpreters; Meta-interpretative Synthesis; Decompositional Synthesis; Inductive Synthesis; Inductive Logic Programming; Usability; Cognitive Dimensions of Notations; Visual Variables; Usability testing; Programming Language usability; Empirical evidence; Informationssystem; Information Systems;

    Sammanfattning : Usability aspects of programming languages are often overlooked, yet have a substantial effect on programmer productivity. These issues are even more acute in the field of Inductive Synthesis, where programs are automatically generated from sample expected input and output data, and the programmer needs to be able to comprehend, and confirm or reject the suggested programs. 4. 4. An approach to systems engineering tool data representation and exchange

    Författare :Erik Herzog; Anders Törne; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; engineering processes; information systems; data exchange; data representation; COTS; Information technology; Informationsteknologi;

    Sammanfattning : Over the last decades computer based tools have been introduced to facilitate systems engineering processes. There are computer based tools for assisting engineers in virtually every aspect of the systems engineering process from requirement elicitation and analysis, over functional analysis, synthesis, implementation and verification. 5. 5. A time and place for everything? : social visualisation tools and critical literacies

    Författare :Veronica Johansson; Högskolan i Borås; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Critical literacy; Document perspective; enactments of meaning; geographic information systems GIS ; ICT; information activities; inscriptions; interaction; library and information science LIS ; representation; social data; social visualisation tools; sociocultural perspective; Library and information science; Library and Information Science; Biblioteks- och informationsvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this study is to analyse mutual enactments of critical literacies and social visualisation tools as information resources. The central concept of critical literacies as used here extends and redefines prior critical literacy definitions to denote the pluralistic situated enactments of meaning through which study participants identify, question and transform bias, restrictions and power related aspects of access, control and use in relation to the tools.
